These dairy-free red velvet chocolate chip cookie dough bites need no baking and are healthy, too. No gluten, grains, eggs or unnatural food dyes.
Valentine’s Day is upon us and that calls for a special homemade treat: dairy-free red velvet chocolate chip cookie dough bites. These delicious morsels are free of eggs, gluten and grains, and get their red color from a natural source. With this cookie dough, it’s truly safe to eat your heart out!
I’m not actually much of a Valentine’s Day person, but I do like special holiday treats, so I’m always happy to honor the holiday with something sweet. And, for Valentine’s Day, it must contain at least some chocolate because it just wouldn’t be right any other way.
These cookie dough bites are perfect for Valentine’s Day because they not only contain chocolate, but a pretty red color too. The color comes naturally from red beet powder, which in my opinion, also offers a slight rasbperry-ish flavor. These are so easy to make as well, especially since no baking is required. Mix everything in one bowl, roll into bites, chill, drizzle with chocolate and that’s it.

Dairy-Free Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites
- In a large bowl, mix together the almond flour, coconut flour, coconut sugar, red beet powder and sea salt. Then, add the coconut oil, coconut milk and vanilla, and stir to incorporate. Lastly, mix in the dark chocolate chips.
- Roll into tablespoon-size balls and place on a plate lined with parchment paper. Chill in fridge for 20-30 minutes to firm up before eating, unless you prefer softer cookie dough bites. Then, if desired, melt remaining 2 Tbsp dark chocolate chips in the microwave on low setting. Drizzle over cookie dough bites and enjoy.
- Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and eat within a few days.
